How do you charge for your services?

 

My Life Keepers offers a monthly service package. An hourly rate is charged for additional services, as requested. 

Can you help me create a “My Life Vault” document without becoming a monthly client?

 

Yes, My Life Keepers believes everyone should have this document on file and would love to work with you to create a “My Life Vault.” An hourly rate is charged for this service.

Can you help me get set up so I can help my aging parents with their finances? 

 

Yes, My Life Keepers can work with you to do this. An hourly rate is charged for this service.

My spouse recently passed away. Can you help me sort through financial documents and account transfer paperwork?

 

Yes, My Life Keepers can assist you with this and can work with your professional advisors to ensure your accounts are transferred properly. An hourly rate is charged for this service. 

Will you provide investment advice?

 

No, My Life Keepers will work with your existing financial planner and/or investment advisor to provide a service that compliments the services they offer. My Life Keepers does not sell investment products or offer advice on investments. If you do not have an existing financial advisor My Life Keepers can provide names of advisors who can help you with your investment needs.

Does My Life Keepers services replace those of accountants and financial advisors?

 

No, we partner with accountants, financial advisors, insurance agents and bankers to compliment the services they provide for you. 

 

Who is a typical client of My Life Keepers?

 

My Life Keepers concentrates on working with busy professionals and senior adults. Many busy professional clients work long hours and do not want the hassle of taking care of their day-to-day finances. Some senior adult clients struggle to manage their personal finances after the loss of their spouse, or due to their busy travel schedules or because of medical conditions. 

How do I know I can trust you? 

 

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Amanda McCollum will adhere to the CFP® Board Standards of Professional Conduct. Additionally, as a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers My Life Keepers will adhere to the AADMM Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

In addition, please feel free to ask us anything you need to know to feel comfortable using our services. We are open and honest and welcomes your questions. My Life Keepers carries E&O and general liability insurance and is bonded. 

I own a small business; can you help me with my bookkeeping?

 

My Life Keepers is committed to helping individuals with their personal finances but does not provide services specifically for small businesses. My Life Keepers can provide names of bookkeepers that can help you with your bookkeeping needs. 

Do you provide debt consolidation and debt counseling?

 

No, My Life Keepers does not provide debt consolidation services or debt counseling services. 

I do not have an existing professional advisor, can I still work with you? 

 

My Life Keepers prefers to work in partnership with other professional advisors but will ocassionally accept clients through other means.
